# Webhook event types

> Every webhook event Tolt sends for partners, links, customers, transactions and commissions, and when each one fires.

Five resources, each with a `.created` and an `.updated` event. They follow a referral from partner to commission.

| [`partner.updated`](/webhooks/events/partner-updated) | A partner's details change, or they are approved, rejected or suspended |
| [`link.created`](/webhooks/events/link-created) | A referral link is created |
| [`link.updated`](/webhooks/events/link-updated) | A referral link is edited |
| [`customer.created`](/webhooks/events/customer-created) | A referred visitor signs up and is bound to a partner |
| [`customer.updated`](/webhooks/events/customer-updated) | A customer's details or status change, for example when their first payment makes them `active` |
| [`transaction.created`](/webhooks/events/transaction-created) | A payment is recorded for a referred customer |
| [`transaction.updated`](/webhooks/events/transaction-updated) | A payment is edited or refunded |
| [`commission.created`](/webhooks/events/commission-created) | A partner earns a commission |
| [`commission.updated`](/webhooks/events/commission-updated) | A commission is approved (by hand or after its approval delay), declined or edited. API refunds send `transaction.updated` instead |

Every delivery uses the same envelope: `{ type, data, timestamp }`. Open an event for its fields and an example payload.
