# customer.updated

> Sent when a customer's details change, for example when a lead converts to active.

Every webhook is delivered as JSON with the same envelope, `customer.updated`
carries the customer in `data`:

**type** `string`

The event name, `customer.updated`.
**data** `object`

The customer this event is about.

**data**

**id** `string`

Unique id for the customer.

**customer\_id** `string | null`

Your external user id for this customer, if set.

**email** `string | null`

The customer's email address, if captured.

**name** `string | null`

The customer's name, if known.

**status** `string | null`

Current status, for example `lead` or `active`.

**plan** `string | null`

The plan the customer is on, if any.

**subscription\_id** `string | null`

Id of the associated subscription, if any.

**partner\_id** `string | null`

Id of the partner who referred the customer, if attributed.

**link\_id** `string | null`

Id of the link the customer came through, if any.

**click\_id** `string | null`

Id of the click that led to this customer, if any.

**lead\_at** `string | null`

ISO timestamp when the customer became a lead.

**active\_at** `string | null`

ISO timestamp when the customer became active.

**program\_id** `string | null`

Id of the program the customer belongs to, if any.

**organization\_id** `string`

Id of the organization that owns the program.

**created\_at** `string`

ISO timestamp when the customer was created.

**updated\_at** `string`

ISO timestamp when the customer was last updated.
**timestamp** `string`

ISO 8601 time the event was emitted.

Deliveries can carry more fields than listed here, and the example below is shortened, so ignore fields you don't use.
